So much in such a blistering pace.

This past weekend one of my best friends and future groomsman Aaron came out from New York and spent a long weekend here in San Francisco. We only got to spend a day or so with Aaron but in the time he was here it seems we did so much. I managed to give a mini tour of the city (**Note: If you’re ever in San Francisco and have 6 hours to spare- I give an outstanding tour of almost all neighborhoods.), go to a Hookah Bar/ Belly Dancer infested restaurant, and we even got to Muir Woods.

Here are a few picture and captions from the visit.

Two awesome shot of San Francisco landmarks.. The Golden Gate and The Palace of Fine Arts.

Aaron and Megs, Megs and I (**Not a clue what we were talking about - but I find my expression priceless), and the belly dancer who made noises like Xena warrior princess every 30 seconds.

For my listening pleasure at 3:32PM 08.28.06

Breathe Me 4:36 SiaI heard this for the first time during the finale of Six Feet Under. The song is amazing. I am NOT into whiny chick music.. but this is a really well crafted song the emotes from the inside out.
Don't Panic 2:16 Coldplay
Every single time I hear this song I can close my eyes and see myself driving on 55 to the Ben Franklin in Philadelphia. I would just drive for hours and listen to that album on repeat. That song always seemed to make me feel a sense of calm.
If I Could 2:25 Jack JohnsonWhenever I hear this song I think about driving home to my old place at the beach and missing Megan while she was 3000 miles away in Atlanta.
The Blower's Daughter 4:44 Damien Rice- Another beautifully crafted song that makes me recall intently what it’s like to appreciate and love the person who makes you feel like the best version of yourself.
Burn 2:51 Ray LaMontagneThe adverse. This songs makes me think of what my life would be like without Megan. Not something I really choose to explore that often.. if ever.. but it funnily enough is because when I heard this song it was during the finale of RESCUE ME Season II. The main character loses his child in an accident.. and of course that made me think about my own life and unimaginable loss.
Cannonball 5:08 Damien Rice- Just dig this song. I know it’s commercial and poppy.. but it’s good.
Tripoli 4:51 Matthew Good- This man is haunting. Hands down.. the best voice is music from a guy who is known NOWHERE outside of Canada.
Cookie Jar 2:57 Jack Johnson- Amazing song writing that makes you look around and think.. “what exactly is going on in the world?”
Chan Chan 4:17 Buena Vista Social Club- One of my favorite songs of all time. Unmatched quality in the musicianship.
Like Suicide (Acoustic Version) 6:16 Chris Cornell- I hear this and go straight back to high school and learning to “really” play guitar. This is what a 12 string should sound like.
Pyramid Song 4:48 Radiohead- Thom Yorke knows how to make songs that you play on repeat for 6 hours. Every time I listen to this song I hear different things.
A Message 4:45 Coldplay- I’m a musician at heart- I am a bard in hiding.. I like chick ballads from overly excited English pop bands.
Jolene 4:10 Ray LaMontagne- Just listen to it.. This guy is where it’s at!
The Inlaw Josie Wales 2:56 Phish - Trey… I need not say more.

If life was but a dream...

ESPN: Yankees break ground on a new $1 billion home.

The newest thing in on-line dating...

So I know that most of you have heard of www.jdate.com or www.match.com but apparently the newest buzz is www.Ihateallthingsjewish.com I heard that these two hooked up after exchanging only two e-mails and meeting for a casual drink at Achmeds... Rumor has it that the night they met.. there was an instant spark... They talked about film, politics, and of course… the fictitious Hollywood propaganda known as: The Holocaust! It was a match made in heaven...

My mama came, saw, ate, slept, hiked, and left...

This past weekend my mom came in from New Jersey and stayed with Megs and I for the weekend. It was the first time I have seen her since last December. That in itself is one of the hardest parts of living 3000 miles away. Unlike most of my contemporaries- I don’t live so far away because I don’t get along with my parents.

It was a truly awesome weekend despite the late start (her flight got in a 3:40AM on Friday morning rather than the 10:06PM Thursday – expected arrival time.) The three of us did a lot of everything and had an outstanding time all in all. I must pardon my appearance in any of these pictures as I had passed kidneys stones 5 days prior to their being taken- and I was sweating out some sort of something or other…

The wedding gift that keeps on giving...

I wonder if her vows read something along the lines of :

….And I promise to give you fatigue, flu-like symptoms, muscle pain, joint pain, intermittent low-grade fevers, itching, sleep disturbances, abdominal pain (especially in the right upper quadrant), appetite changes, nausea, dyspepsia, cognitive changes, depression, headaches, and mood swings. Which in turn can lead to liver cirrhosis that includes
ascites (accumulation of fluid in the abdomen), bruising and bleeding tendency, bone pain, varices (enlarged veins, especially in the stomach and esophagus), fatty stools (steatorrhea), jaundice, and a syndrome of cognitive impairment known as hepatic encephalopathy.

Oh and one last thing... No silly... Not I love you endlessly... I forgot to mention that your testicles could shrivel up and eventually have to be removed due to contracting this endless gift I call HEP C....

But on the flip side… you get to play with my gigantic boobs filled with synthetic fluid!

Around the world in 3 laughs...

It’s been a good long while since I have felt inspired to do a spoof on the news… But considering how miserable the world news is these days.. I thought it was high time to give a few laughs…

CNN:
Gibson: 'I am not an anti-Semite'

GORDON: In his opening address to the neo-nazi convention being held in Argentina- the Furor Gibson opened with…..

CNN: Arnie: Blair could play Terminator

GORDON: For the record I didn’t vote for this douche bag… and in all honesty…Tony Blair could never pull off the Terminator.. The incredibly effeminate looking gay prostitute cowering in the corner, maybe… but the Terminator.. I think not!

CNN: Castro hands power to brother temporarily

GORDON: You can clearly see the family resemblance.
