Pearl Jam. Vs. (American release)

In my estimation, hands down one of the greatest sophomoric efforts ever by a contemporary/ modern rock/grunge band.

Please discuss….. And before leaving comments- if you’re not familiar with the album.. Go home- DL or buy it- turn the volume up LOUD, and play GO, ANIMAL, WMA.

Correction.

My better half has informed me that we own a 32" inch screen, not a 37". I hope you can all sleep better now knowing that I have corrected the misinformation given yesterday.

That is all.

The Driver & The T.V.

The Driver...

The T.V.

"The 537H is a 37” flat panel LCD TV capable of displaying 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i video signals. The panel has a native resolution of 1366x768; it utilizes MediaTek’s MDDI technology.
Specifications quoted were provided courtesy of Syntax Olevia.

The 537H is a good product. It has the high-end performance to rival a Sony or Samsung but without the price tag of a larger manufacturer. The display of analog and standard digital signals is good. I noticed some issues with the presentation of moving text but when watching non-HD satellite the picture quality was almost as good as my Samsung DLP and the 1080P Westinghouse 42w2 that I reviewed a few months ago.

What does this tell me? Olevia makes a quality product and should be considered when looking for a LCD TV. Don’t be misled by my comments. There are LCD TVs that display a better non-HD picture but you will be hard-pressed to find one for this price in the 37” size.

The Bottom Line: Olevia's 537H is a must see for anyone looking to buy a LCD TV with a limited budget. If you're thinking about a Vizio because you saw some commercials then I suggest you find a store near you to see how Olevia stacks up against the competition. You might be surprised, in a good way, by what you see."

Happy Happy To Me...

This has been the most fantastic birthday weekend/actual day. Since meeting Megs I have started to actually love my birthday. It seems that with her being the catalyst, every year becomes more fun to celebrate.

My mom threw me an excellent get together to celebrate my and my father’s birthdays. I was born at 1:30AM … And if I weren’t such a selfish person.. we’d be on the same day.

I honestly think I was more showered with amazing gifts for my 28th birthday than I have ever been in my entire life.

I got an assortment of thoughtful and amazing gifts (which were truly unexpected!) But the piece-de-resistance was the FLAT SCREEN!!!!! That’s right bitches.. .My one and only…. The apple of my eye… The nurse slagathor to my scrubs… Meggy got me the flat screen and a Tivo… LIFE IS GOOD!

In all seriousness… I am greatly looking forward to a fantastic year. 27 was great, and I look forward to 28 being even better.

I apologize for the lack of entries as of late.. I was in San Diego for work all of last week, and have been struggling to get blogger to let me log in. I will try and post more this week.

P.S. for comments..

While I respect everyone's wish for anonymity.... It does give me a kick to know who is reading this little rag... So if you wouldn't mind, and you're feeling so inclined and generous... Please e-mail privately to let me know who is leaving what comment.

And Matt Good... I know you're out there somewhere... E-mail a brother back...

Just livin' the dream....

So, as many of you know... I am totally obsessed with LOST. I love to watch it, read about, re-watch it, speculate, hypothesize, and "figure out" what is going on.

NO LONGER MY FRIENDS, NO LONGER!

***IF YOU DIDN'T SEE "NOT IN PORTLAND" LAST NIGHT... DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER.***

The truth is, every single time I think I have a vague clue as to what is going on, I am then reminded that I have not an ounce of credibility in "knowing" what is what. Here are some things that I "thunked" about last night after watching the show.

1. All is not what it seems (DUH! This is LOST we're talking about.) But really, no one is showing their cards or telling the truth. Apparently Juliet is a prisoner of the Islands too!
2. Is Ben the husband of Danielle Rousseau, making Alex "their" daughter? If so, does that mean that Ben and Danielle are BOTH others from the Island? As we have learned, NO ONE tells the truth.. I.E. Ben claims to be from Minnesota and have crashed in a balloon. Danielle claims to have been on a scientific sea vessel that crashed looking for the distress signal.
3. WHAT THE F was up with the brain washing/ clockwork orange esc room, with really bad techno? I mean, I get it... but, seriously... "WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?"
4. Ethan is a BAD, BAD person! Or at least so we are led to believe.

All of these things said and done.... I am officially a hands off spectator who appreciates the show for the amazing thing it is. No more web searches, no more spoilers, no more nothing.... I simply want to watch the scope of the show unfold...

However in the spirit of loving the show... PLEASE feel free to leave messages and discuss what on earth you think is going on in this show.... Because after last night- I have NO CLUE what to make of the bigger picture.

In closing... I leave you with this... "See yeww in anotha life brotha!"
