Food for thought... Please discuss..

(I am insanely busy with work this week... So I apologize with the lack of entries. In the meantime- please feel free to openly discuss today's entry.)

At what point do we look at the Middle East, Africa, Former Soviet States, and other like regions of the world and say that enough is enough. Just as with WWII – the United States is enveloped in rhetoric because simply put- the financial interest is simply not there.

China seems to think that an investment in Africa is an investment in taking a front seat as world power number 1. Could they be right? Or in fact, will financial incentive just overshadow the larger problems and make genocide and holocaust acceptable until it becomes personal enough for some 2008 U.S. candidate to make it a campaign worthy platform? Nothing sparks national incentive like "we're becoming second place to someone else.."

When will the world come to terms with the fact that NO ONE wants to see or live this anymore.

Ummmm, I can tell you about the proliferation of carbon fiber and the economic upswing of the bicycle industry...

Does that help with this conversation?

To quote your favorite stage-mate and fellow musician:

"So we keep waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
Its hard to beat the system
When we're standing at a distance
So we keep waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change"

The devil's making some sense here :)

Apathy breeds stagnation... So captain tard face will be waiting for a long, long, long time…Which in and of itself.. I find it really funny that a rich white kid from the upper middle class of Connecticut is preaching about hardship and change…And for my wife to be and partner.. you're pretty cruel to quote that doof on here...

I don't "understand" the politics of it at all so I won't insult your intelligence with even trying to comment on that level. I understand your question though and believe that posing it is at least a step in the direction of change. You are right - when is enough is enough ... enough?
[I was indeed confused by the reference to 'favorite stage-mate' but am gaining a better understanding of your lovely partner and wife-to-be's sense of humor :)]
