Found In Translation.

You know a lot of kids have had a really hard time understanding the brutality and realistic nature of what transpired during the World Cup Finals in Germany a few weeks ago. I have found a graphic explanation on the internet the best describes and breaks down the incident – so that all age groups can make sense of this- and make sure it never happens again.

There's a place for Michael Jackson after all !!!!

(Click on the link above)
Apparantly Wacko Jacko could move to Russia and be in good company. President Putin seems to be on the same playing field with Michael... The... "I like 5 year old boys" playing field that is!
""People came up and I began talking to them, among them this little boy. He seemed to me very independent, sure of himself and at the same time defenseless so to speak, an innocent boy and a very nice little boy," Putin told the Web cast.
"I tell you honestly, I just wanted to touch him like a kitten and that desire of mine ended in that act."
Does anyone else find this utterly disturbing? I mean come on... I understand we all have cultural differences... but lets get real people!

Timeless

Last night before heading to bed (which I may as well not have since I got next to no sleep) I watched the vh1 storytellers for PEARL JAM. It was absolutely amazing to me to see how these guys have grown as people and musicians. Eddie Vedder and the rest of the guys all look like older statesmen playing some amazing rock n'roll. The music and musicianship sounded fantastic, Eddie Vedder's voice sounded more staunch and controlled than ever, and the show was energetic. It really took me back to being 12 or 13 and hearing the tracks from "10" all over again. I had been reminded that while Stevie Ray Vaughan may have inspired me to play blues guitar, it was Stone Gossard and Mike McCready who inspired me to play rock n'roll. I remember the first time I jammed on "alive" with other musicians and got that INSANE rush from the music.

Thanks to the band for caring about the world and their music the way they do! Keep it up chaps- it's better than ever!

It makes me feel so much better

That there are bigger nerds in the world then me... Please see the countdown clock I found on a Harry Potter website. This just makes me feel so much better about myself and proves that there are people out there who take this WAY more seriously than I do.
